About Us

Michelle O'Neal
Michelle is the Founder and President of Soul Hope Christian Counseling. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Trinity International University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary.
She is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association and a Minister of the Christian Faith. She is honored to walk alongside adults and couples as they receive God’s healing, using Temperament Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and traditional talk therapy. In addition, she is a certified Save Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) facilitator for premarital counseling.

Carolyn Saad Gonzalez
Carolyn graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of South Florida with a B.A. in Psychology, and then completed her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Presently, Carolyn is working on a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies. Carolyn operates from a relational psychodynamic theoretical orientation, practicing primarily from the attachment theory perspective.
She is a fully licensed LMHC in the state of Florida, is PREPARE/ENRICH certified, and is a Level Two Gottman Method couples counselor. Carolyn’s clinical experience includes residential, university, and private practice settings. She most enjoys working with individual adults, couples, and families, and offers sessions in-person and virtually!

Alyssa Burns
Alyssa graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters in Clinical Social Work. She is a registered Clinical Social Work intern, a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and ordained in the Christian faith.
Her experience includes over 25 years working with individuals and families who have experienced trauma, generational patterns of dysfunction, and failed relationships. Her therapeutic focuses are anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationships, and spiritual growth.

Melinda Means
Melinda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Taylor University and earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary.
She is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and Certified Temperament Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association, as well as a Minister of the Christian faith. She is also a HeartMath Trauma-Sensitive Certified Practitioner. Melinda has a particular interest in guiding individuals through trauma, anxiety, life transitions and spiritual growth. Her heart is to walk with individuals through the challenges of life and help them discover the hope and healing that is possible through Jesus Christ.
Melinda was on staff at her church for over 10 years in both Women’s Ministry and Community Outreach. She is the co-author of Unraveled Roots and author of Invisible Wounds: Hope While You’re Hurting and Rewired Heart: Finding the Freedom of a Whole New You.
